Philippines Mission Trip

March 20 - April 7, 2024

Orientation meeting will be on October 15 at North Hills after the Worship Service

Who can go on the trip?

Adults and high school students

  • Students must have a 2.5+ grade point average for the 1st semester of the 2023-2024 school year and a letter of recommendation from a teacher
  • On the trip, there will be one adult for every 2-3 students
  • A middle school student can come if accompanied by a parent/guardian
  • Everyone going must have a passport by December 22
  • For students at North Hills Christian School, the trip will be an excused absence

How much will the trip cost?

The forecasted amount is $1,500

  • $150 refundable deposit is due by November 3
  • Remaining balance (approximately $1,350) is due by January 3, 2024
  • When the airlines tickets have been purchased (typically in early January), the entire amount paid is non-refundable

How will the trip be funded?

There are three primary ways to pay for the trip:

  • Leaders will help team members write a Support Letter to send to family, friends, co-workers, people at church, etc.
  • Students can apply to receive money from the Mission Dress Day fund at North Hills
  • Individuals can pay for the trip using personal funds

What will team members do in the Philippines during the mission trip?

The ministry planned includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Organize and execute a mini Upward Basketball Camp (this may include volleyball)
  • Organize and execute a 5-day Youth Camp for children 6-12 years old
  • Minister to various churches in a variety of ways
